Face Yoga is a great way to lift the eyebrow and eyelid area naturally. Using just your fingers you can gently lift your eyes and alleviate some of the heavy, hooded sensation you feel. Before you do these techniques, make sure your face and hands are clean so that you do not transfer oil and dirt to your face.

One of the techniques I am going to share with you today is a massage which is going to help refresh your skin and ease tension and the other one is a facial exercise which is going to help train your muscles to stay lifted, which will help your eyebrows maintain their shape.

Both are equally important and should be a part of your daily skin care routine. You can join in these natural face lifting techniques via this video

PINCH ALONG THE EYEBROW

For starters, with two fingers, pinch along the eyebrow. Work deep into the skin and do small pinches across your eyebrows. You can do this exercise for up to about one minute once or twice a day. Take turns on each eye and in different spots around the length of the eyebrows.

Think of this as a way to refresh the skin and generate blood flow to tired skin. Getting blood flow to the area helps to keep your skin fresh and vibrant.

GENTLY LIFT YOUR EYEBROWS

For the second facial yoga move, use two index fingers, take them under the eyebrows and gently lift them up a little bit. Your fingers will be in the shape of your eyebrows, parallel to the ground. Gently place them onto your skin and push your eyebrows up. Hold your eyebrows in that position while you focus on your breathing. You shouldn’t push too high though as you don’t want to crease the forehead skin too much.

Close your eyes and feel the resistance of the index fingers holding up your eyebrows. You will feel a little pulse and you should hold that for 10-20 seconds. This helps your muscles build strength and tone, which will help prevent sagging. Repeat 3 times.

Finish this technique by using your finger tips to stroke the forehead outwards to smooth any lines or creases that may have been created on the forehead area. You can also find this technique in my book, Danielle Collins’ Face Yoga available on Amazon.

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BREATHING

As with any Yoga practice, make sure you are breathing deeply, in through the nose and out through the mouth. These techniques should work to relax your face. Make sure you don’t accidentally find yourself holding your breath, as breathing correctly will also help stimulate blood flow and keep your skin fresh.
